Marvin Broome Photography

While in Germany, I was trained by a master photographer during my tour of duty in the mid 1970's on my first 35mm SLR. I became quite knowledgeable with different techniques, exposure index, film types, lenses, filters, light metering, composition, aperture, color and black and white film processing as well as black and white image printing. In spite of my extensive training, my interest in photography diminished between the time of my undergraduate studies at Tuebingen Universitat in Germany and grad school at Penn State. Actually it was not until after I was introduced to the digital format in Y2K, did my slight interest in the craft grow to an obsession once more. Now, with the use of light, lines, texture, and color, I like to compose compelling stories about people, places and things.
